This February, two Holy Childhood Sisters renewed their vows. Sr. Maria Machi and Sr. Yolanda Fihlani vowed to the Almighty God to live their life in Chastity, Poverty and Obedience.
The Region of St. Clare had its thirteenth Chapter in December 2019. All the sisters came together to discuss the well being and future of the region and voted for a new leadership.
Sister Thomas Maduna made her Final Profession in her home parish of Creighton in the Diocese of Mariannhill, South Africa, on November 30th. In presence of her relatives, fellow sisters and parishioners she swore to dedicate her life to God and the community of the servants of the holy childhood of Jesus.
As a young sister it is a distinct privilege for me to work to work with the Young Adults of the parish. This group has taught me life’s lesson and patience and I am truly grateful.
In May 2019 hundreds of people all over the Diocese of Eshowe embarked on a spiritual journey to Fatima. Every year, the pilgrims honour Mother Mary and praise and worship God for all He has done.

Sr. Elkana came to South Africa almost 60 years ago. Now she returned to Germany for good – and left the Region of St. Clare where she will always have a place in the heart of her fellow sisters.
For the first time in our Region all the co-workers came together for a meeting to hear about our charism and to share their experiences with the sisters.
