Due to the rapid spread of the Corona Virus, South Africa’s president, Cyril Ramaphosa has put the country on a strict lockdown. There will be no Holy Mass in St. Benedict Cathedral until further notice.
The lockdown started on the 27th of March and will likely end on the 16th of April 2020. Because of this, all Eucharistic and Easter Celebrations are cancelled. All the Faithful are encouraged to pray together as families and to watch or listen to Mass on the television and other platforms of media that will be uploaded by priests as they are allowed to say Holy Mass alone. Holy Childhood School and Antonia Werr Creche will resume soon after the end of the lockdown.
