Questions about humanity

We asked one of our sisters and one of our workers in the convent about their thoughts on humanity. Here is what they think.

Sr. Birgit Loch, Sister Eshowe Convent, South Africa, 78 years

What is your idea of a gesture of humanity?

Seeing the other, show respect and accept that he is different. Give things time, and don’t forget to be thankful.

What’s your plea for more humanity?

To help others where ever it is possible, poor or not, material or spiritual. We have to see true injustice in the world and do something about it – if possible!

Scott Belcher, Steel Fabricator, Eshowe Convent, South Africa, 53 years

What is your idea of a gesture of humanity?

Compassion! Verbal and with action

What’s your plea for more humanity?

For one to try to understand a person’s situation without pre-judging. Adress the situation first, assist and create awareness for the people’s problems. Also, you need to understand the different cultures.
