In 2016, we started to offer computer lessons for children and young adults at the Mbongolwane Mission. Basic skills in working with a computer have become essential life skills in modern society. We offer the disadvantaged youth in the rural area an opportunity to learn, try themselves out, speak English and work with modern technology. For that, we have set up a room with five laptop computers and a printer for the students.
We offer a 3-month-long basic course, which has been completed by more than 40 kids and young adults. At the moment, students from Grade 7 to 10 are learning on the premises of the mission once a week. Kids who have completed the course are allowed to use computers and internet for school work, under supervision.
