Sr. Dolores was an integral part of the Holy Childhood Sisters in South Africa for more than sixty years. At the end of February, the sad news of her passing reached her fellow sisters in South Africa.

Sr. Maria Machi appointed acting principal of Mbongolwane crèche

One of our young sisters, Sr. Maria Machi, has been appointed acting principal of Antonia-Werr-Crèche in Mbongolwane. She takes over the responsibilities of Sr. Bongiwe Xulu, who requested a sabbatical leave.

Final vows and Silver Jubilee

Giving back to less fortunate children: Following the idea of a six-year-old learner at Holy Childhood School, the Grade R class of 2021 collected toys and other items from their homes to give to St. Joseph CYCC children as a sign of their love and care.

The civil unrest in KwaZulu-Natal and other South African provinces deeply affected the whole country. At the same time, the Holy Childhood Sister’s projects in South Africa faced great challenges – especially the children’s home St. Joseph CYCC in Mbongolwane.

A special Day for Sister Maria in St. Benedict Cathedral

Sr. Maria made her perpetual profession in St. Benedict Cathedral on June 26th. She vowed to dedicate her life to God and the community of the Servants of the Holy Childhood of Jesus in the presence of the Church.
